GENERAL NOTES

According to Gnoli's palaeographical analysis, Shaqab 6 is the most ancient Minaic inscription found in the site of Shaqab al-Manaṣṣa.

TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  [...]ʾl son of Lḥyʿṯt
   2  [...] of the clan Gbʾn, priest
   3  of ʿṯtr ḏ-Yhrq, dedicated
   4  to ʿṯtr ḏ-Yhrq his inscription,
   5  for the gods of Maʿīn and of
   6  [Yathill], at the time of ʾlyfʿ Rym
   7  king of Maʿīn, and he committed his dedication
   8  to ʿṯtr ḏ-Yhrq.
