1 [Whbʾwm ... ... and S¹ʿdʾwm ... ...] 2 descendants of Krbm and Mʿdnm dedicated to ʾlmqh 3 Ṯhwn, Master of ʾwm the statue in bronze, in praise because 4 He granted His two servants Whbʾwm and S¹ʿdʾwm the return in 5 safety from S¹hrtn, when they had been campaigning in the service 6 of their lord ʾls²rḥ Yḥḍb king of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān 7 and because ʾlmqh, Master of ʾwm granted the return in 8 safety from the land of Ḥimyar, when they had been campaigning in the service 9 of their lord ʾls²rḥ Yḥḍb king of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān 10 when they confronted the Raydanite army on the field of Ḫurmatum, 11 and because ʾlmqh, Master of ʾwm granted His servant 12 Whbʾwm the return from this confrontation in safety, and 13 with killing and captives and booty, which satisfied His servant 14 Whbʾwm, and may ʾlmqh continue to grant His servant 15 Whbʾwm his protection in all the expeditions he will undertake and 16 (in which) he will follow his two lords ʾls²rḥ Yḥḍb and his 17 brother Yʾzl Byn the two kings of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān, and may 18 ʾlmqh grant him his satisfaction in all the favours 19 he will seek and implore from Him, and may He grant him the goodwill 20 and the satisfaction of his two lords ʾls²rḥ Yḥḍb and his brother 21 Yʾzl Byn the two kings of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān, sons of Frʿm 22 Ynhb king of Sabaʾ, and may ʾlmqh deliver His two 23 servants Whbʾwm and S¹ʿdʾwm descendants of Krbm and Mʿdnm 24 from the misfortune and the mischief and the maleficence and 25 the malice of the enemy, by ʾlmqh Ṯhwn, Master of ʾwm. |
