Notes on support and decorations | This female head has deep carved eyes, originally inlaid, fine arched eyebrows, a high forehead, a narrow face, a large long nose, a short chin and stylized ears with a prominent tragus. The foundation for the plaster hair extends above the hairline and forms two projecting, roughly keyed, bunches on either side of the face. The back and top of the head are covered in horizontal tool marks. |
