CULTURAL NOTES

This stela represents a hybrid: for its shape, size and material it is comparable with the aniconic stelae of Qatabanian origin; for the schematic facial features, it appears to belong to the Minaean tradition. It not to be excluded that this object was commissioned by a Minaean residing in Timnaʿ.
