Notes on support and decorationsPair of symmetrical lions (one facing left, the other one facing right) with seated infant riders. Lions in high relief, with parts in full round (the infant's heads and limbs; the animal's tails). The sculptures were placed against some wall, probably flanking an entrance. The two infant riders, with rounded faces, full cheeks and short curly hair, show some different detail in the position of the arms and of the heads. Both the lions are supported by a rectangular inscribed base, bringing the same inscription. The bases are cast separately from the lions. Lost wax casting.
