Notes on support and decorations | Head of a man with the eyes finely carved out for inlay (the entire eye as opposed to just the pupil and/or iris) and a short beard and moustache is indicated with regularly spaced drill holes. The upper part of the face is rather badly preserved and stained. The lower part, comprising a small mouth, a weak jaw line, and a thick neck, is largely intact. There are large regular tool marks on the back and the poll is roughly finished. The head was belonging to a statuette. |
