Notes on support and decorations | Head and torso of a sandstone female figure, which was probably a seated figure. The figure has a long face, modelled cheeks, and chin with a dimple. There are two holes pierced in each ear for metal earrings. The chin length hair is embellished with incised horizontal and vertical lines all the way around the head in exactly the same style as BM 132223. The figure has small breasts and a rounded chest with drill holes between the arms and the torso. |
