Notes on support and decorations"Silver bowl carinated. A lion-head was formerly fixed at the top of one side, with a ring through its mouth, as a handle. Around the outside rim a row of dots, then a row of scallops (rather ovoli motif). Below this is a band of what look like pairs of leaves." (Kitchen 2009: 245)
