Notes on support and decorationsRectangular stela with high relief human face emerging from its top. The almost triangular-shaped face shows large eyes without indication of pupils, small nose and rounded forehead. A straight horizontal incision indicates the mouth.

CULTURAL NOTES

From a stylistic point of view (elongated shape and roughly carved face), this stela is comparable with those from the Minaean area, for the most part housed in the Museum of Ṣanʿāʾ. However, note that this specimen lack the inscription of the name of the deceased.
