CULTURAL NOTES
Significant observations about the function of this artifact: "Les gargouilles de pierre à tête de taureau, trouvées au pied de chaque pilier, venaient s'encastrer entre les poutres principales de la toiture. Leur rôle était plus décoratif que réel, semble-t-il, puisque le canale de certaines d'entre elles n'était même pas creusé" (Seigne 1992: 145).
