GENERAL NOTES

This inscription is placed next to Y.03.B.R44-45.2. Both are fragmentary, but Agostini remarks that they appear to belong to separate inscriptions. However, based on palaeography, Agostini suggests that also Y.03.B.R44-45.3 is dated to the reign of ʾbydʿ Yṯʿ (cf. Y.03.B.R44-45.2bis + Y.03.B.R44-45.2ter + Y.03.B.R44-45.2). This is historically relevant, as Y.03.B.R44-45.3 mentions a siege of the town of Yathill.
