| 1-2 | If Hṭrn, attested in QAT as a lineage name (UAM 368), is regarded as complete, the lacuna at the beginning of the second element can accommodate at most one letter; cf. Ṯwb (Gr 78; Nihm/Barrān 1) or Mṯwb (Robin-Kāniṭ 12; YM 14648). A right-to-left reading, 1. [.](ṯ)w(b) 2. S¹ṭrn, obtained by rotating the cretula through 180°, is less likely, since the central stroke of S¹ would be slightly too tall. Nevertheless, S¹ṭrn is attested in SAB onomastics (CIH 611; Fa 61; Gr 3; MS al-Ḫarba 1; MṢM 3636; RES 3913; RES 4630). Agostini reads [.]w[.] (H)ṭrn. |
