TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  Ḥywm Kdḥm, son of Ls¹ ‒
   2  qd, servant of ʿws²ʿly, has placed his confi-
   3  dence in ʿṯtr S²rqn and ʾl ‒
   4  mqh against the person who would frighten him [: the author] during his
   5  walk.
4-5b-(qṭ)w-hw: Jamme compares this expressions with the arabic verb qaṭs¹ that means "to walk with slow steps".
