GENERAL NOTES

Mazzini suggests that in all probability CIH 657 is the first part of CIH 657+MṢM 3641. This had been already pointed us to us by the GOAM archaeologist Ṣalāh al-Ḥusaynī, whom we would like to thank.

English

   1  Ḏmrydʿ son of Mʿdkrb, ibn Mlḥn, built his canal Tlṭ, canal of his palmgrove S¹qmn,
   2  and completed all his palmgrove S¹qmn, and let nobody claim from Ḏmrydʿ in his palmgrove S¹qmn, in his
   3  canal and in his secondary canal that irrigates it from the canal to his end that flow over the irrigated field
   4  [... ...] . and in his irrigation system, and in the ʿlb-trees and ʾnty-trees of his palmgrove S¹qmn, the two irrigation cycles [... ...]
   5  [... ...] and let nobody claim from Ḏmrydʿ the opening and the distribution of the watercoure for his palm grove
   6  S¹qmn and his canal Tlṭ, with full ownership rights, by ʾlmqh.
