CULTURAL NOTES

This inscription, together with CIAS 49.10/o 1 n. 2, n. 3 and n. 4, follows the same pattern: an individual dedicates a statuette in the temple of Wdm for the king, son of the god.
There we have the only sure occasion in pre-Islamic Southern Arabia of a king deified during his life.
