CULTURAL NOTES

"The two persons mentioned in the inscription are not said to be husband and wife. Furthermore, the stress on their owning half of the tomb each makes it plausible that they were indeed not relatives but had formed an association to build this double-cell-tomb, with the two cells individually owned by them and their progeny" (Lundin).
