Apparatus
Müller's reading cannot be confirmed on the basis of the published photo.
6for Ymnt see Robin 2013: 131-133.
7According to Müller, Yzn is an optional spelling for Yʾzn, similarly to the Arabic tradition. However, this is the only evidence of this form, while as name of tribe it is only found in the form ʾzʾnn.

CULTURAL NOTES

In this text Robin (2003: 118) highlights a contradiction between the invocation of ʾln, which apparently is linked to Jewish (or Judaizing) texts, and the use of the epithet bʿl, being found instead only in monotheistic inscriptions "sans parti pris explicite".
