   1  Mʿlym Yzd, Ḫwlym Yzd,
   2  S¹lfm Yhs¹kr, Mls²n Yhnʿ-
   3  m, the sons of Mls²n and the sons of Nmrn,
   4  those of Yzʾn, Ylġb, ḏ-Kbrn, Ḫy-
   5  s¹yn, Ṣdqyn and ḏ-Yṣbr brought into cultivation and laid out their fields (irrigated) in terraces
   6  in the wādī ʿmqn to their land Ḥyfn and brought into cultivation it and carried out
   7  from the top to the lower level with plaster and gypsum. With the help
   8  of ʾln, the Master of heaven and with the help of their lords, the kings, masters of Raydān,
   9  with the help of their tribes Ḍyftn and Rṯḥm and with the help of their privileged members and their huntsmen,
  10  their huntsmen and their guards. In the month of Ṣrbn
  11  in (the year) five hundred
  12  sixty.

CULTURAL NOTES

The text reports construction works in the wādī ʿAmaqīn, a fertile territory formerly part of the Ḥaḍramitic kingdom. Agriculture is made through terrace-cultivation, whose structure is reinforced with materials such as lime-plaster and gypsum.
