4 m ʿd frʿm b-ḥg ʾnby w-ʾl tʿly
TRANSLATIONS

1 ʾlḏrʾ, son of Ys²rḥʿm, and ʾbʿly, son of Yṣrʿm, 2 and Hwfʿm, son of Nmrm, those of the family Ygr, made, gained legal possession, built 3 their grave Mrdʿm and its hall in its entirety from foundation 4 to top, according to ʾnby, and let there be no violation thereof. |

CULTURAL NOTES
In the QAT inscriptions referring to a construction of a tomb, the verbs are: ʿs¹y, ẓrb, bny linked asyndetically. In every inscription we find the formula: gwlm b-ḥg ʾnby w-ʾl tʿly.
