GENERAL NOTES

For a discussion of the chronology of this text, see Avanzini 1995: 40-42 and 61-62. Briefly, the problem lies in the recent palaeographical style which contrasts with the invocation to ʿṯtr Ns²qm and the final formula of "brotherhood", both typical of the Madhabaean period.
