CULTURAL NOTES

ʾbydʿ Yfs² son of Nbṭʾl is up to now the first sovereign of Maʿīn bearing the title of "king". He probably reigned at the beginning of the 7th century BC. All the texts on the pillars of the temple are dated to his reign.
