1 Thus decreed and ordained Ydʿʾl Byn, king of Sabaʾ, son 2 of Krbʾl Wtr, for his vassals (the tribes) Fayshān and Bakīl at 3 Shibām and at the citadel of ʾlw: anyone of whom it is proved that 4 he has gone out in public or attempted to do so, while in a leprous condition, in the domain of Fayshān, 5 shall be proclaimed an outlaw - in the month Ns¹wr of that particular year in which 6 he attempted to do so - in the sanctuary of ʾwm at the citadel of ʾlw, and this man, himself, 7 shall be put to death, and as for his property, shall the king 8 appropriate (that). Any man or woman of whom it is proved, from the tribe of 9 Fayshān and Bakīl at Shibām or the cities of the citadel 10 of ʾlw, either their male or female members, similarly to those [....] 11 ? or woman of whom it is proved to be recovered (from that illness) and to have declared (that) (or: and they are proved (to be well)), 12 let (that person) be secluded from seven days, in consequence of the possibility that may die the one who may 13 die, and let himself die, that man or woman, 14 and as for his (or her) property, shall the king appropriate (that). 15 Any woman of whom it is proved that she has gone up, while in an impure condition, 16 into the sanctuary of ʾlmqh, Master of ʾwm, of the citadel of ʾlw .
