GENERAL NOTES
| CIH suggests that CIH 300 and CIH 340, very similar, are parts of the same inscription. They are most probably copies of the same text (the words are arranged differently among the lines). CIH 340 is reemployed in the mosque of Ṣirwāḥ-Arḥab (ancient Mdrm) near Nāʿiṭ. Note that CIH 300 is said by Hommel to come from Nāʿiṭ. |

| 1-5 | The text at the beginning of the lines until the second stone's break was Glaser's reading of the right fragment of the inscription, of which no photo was available. This has been recently seen by S. Rijziger, who kindly provided DASI with a photograph allowing a better reading of the text. It is not sure that all the missing letters are to be restored at the beginning of the lines: the restoration follows Glaser's edition. |
