TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  Yrfʾ ʾṣḥḥ, ibn ʾs²yb and ḏ-ʿmrt and ibn S²bṯn and ḏ-ʾlʾmn
   2  and ḏ-Kbrn and ʿlt, governor of the tribe Maḍḥi, and Hwfʿm and ʿbdʿm and
   3  the masters of the banū Yʿgf and Gzrtn, governors of the house Ys¹rn directed the work,
   4  raised with ground and insulated the dam from its foundations to the stream in the rock
   5  below Ḥṣbn. They raised up, from the basin to the land that they exploited
   6  for agriculture, eleven cubits and remained from the height of the damm
   7  that five cubits. They raised up, as their lord Shamr, king
   8  of Sabaʾ and ḏu-Raydān, ordered them in the year two hundred seventy-
   9  five.
