1 S¹ḫmn ʾwḥm, of Krbn, mqtwy of Nmrn 2 ʾwkn and his brother Gḥḍm ʾḥṣn, 3 descendants of Kbr Ḫll and Kbr ʾqynm and of S¹ḫymm, 4 dedicated to ʾlmqh Ṯhwn, Lord of ʾwm, this statue in 5 bronze, in praise because He favoured His servant S¹ḫmn, 6 of Krbn, with the favours and the requests he sought, and which 7 ʾlmqh accomplished for him, when they carried out the military expedition and fought and conducted a raid 8 in the land of Rdmn and Mḍḥym, and the valley of 9 ʾḫr of Qatabān, together with the bedouins; and then he praised 10 the might and the power of ʾlmqh Ṯhwn, Lord of ʾwm, 11 because He favoured His servant S¹ḫmn with the favour 12 and the request he asked Him, and (because) he returned in safety and 13 with killing, captives, loot and booty, and may 14 ʾlmqh Ṯhwn, Lord of ʾwm, continue to grant His servant 15 S¹ḫmn, of Krbn, the goodwill and the satisfaction of their two lords 16 Nmrn ʾwkn and his brother Gḥḍm 17 ʾḥṣn, descendants of Kbr Ḫll and Kbr ʾqynm and 18 of S¹ḫymm; and may He help and deliver His servant S¹ḫmn, 19 of Krbn, from the maleficence and the malice of the enemy, the one they are 20 aware of and the one they are not aware of. By ʾlmqh Ṯhwn, 21 Lord of ʾwm. |
