Apparatus
2The first Mrḍwt could be a lineage name but also, in view of its occurrence at l. 8, a female name indicating the two authors' mother. In this case, this would be another example of an inscription attesting to the matrilinear lineage.

   2  those of Mrḍwt, servants of the
   3  family Ḥlḥlm dedicated to ʾl-
   4  mqh Ṯhwn Master of ʾwm
   5  the statue in bronze that his female servant
   6  had promised Him, in praise
   7  because He helped and saved their daughter
   8  Mrḍwt from the disease from which
   9  she suffered; and may ʾlmqh Master of
  10  ʾwm continue to save His servants, those of
