TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  Rbbm son of Rdʿm dedicated
   2  to ḏ-S³mwy Master of Yġr-
   3  w the inscription which He asked him
   4  in His oracle, when he went on an expedition
   5  to the land of Mḏḥgm, for the safety
   6  of Rbbm. And may ḏ-
   7  S³mwy grant him pastureland,
   8  success and prosperity of faculties.
7ʿs³btm: Bāfaqīh translates "the hiring charge of beasts", following the first meaning suggested by the Sabaic Dictionary; Bron translates "reward" on the basis of the Geez ʿasb; Stein: "pastureland".
