TRANSLATIONS

English

   1  Lḥyʿt ibn ḏ-Brʾn dedicated an incense-burner
   2  and crops to ʿṯtr S²rqn when he became governor
   3  in the palace of the banū Ṯʾrn ḏ-S¹lyt and ʿmrn,
   4  for the safety of his lord S²mr Yhrʿs² king of Sabaʾ
   5  and ḏu-Raydān, for the safety of their servant
   6  Lḥyʿt ibn Brʾn, for the safety of their vassals,
   7  the tribe of the inhabitants of the city of S¹lyt and
   8  of his family and of their lands (cultivated with) cereals of the autumn and of the summer
   9  and (with) vines in terracing,
  10  and may He repel locusts (?), damages,
  11  storms, sorceries and enemies.
