CULTURAL NOTES
The author/authors of this inscription appear to have carried out a pilgrimage in Marib, to the sanctuaries of Almaqah and ʿAthtar dhū-Dhibān. The text is further proof of close alliance between Sabaʾ and the tribal confederation of Samʿī (Arbach and Schiettecatte 2017: 192).
