| Notes on support and decorations | Considerable dimensions statue, representing a standing man on a squat, slightly rounded, inscribed pedestal, bearing a personal name. The statue clearly represents a prisoner, with naked torso and feet, wearing a short skirt and a belt. His arms, tied at the wrists, are lying on his chest; his ankles are tied by a thick rope or, probably, by a metal chain. |

CULTURAL NOTES
This statue shows the traditional South Arabian style and proportions in the depiction of the male figure: large shoulders, very slim waist, slightly open legs. On the contrary, the up turned head with short hair and wavy locks on the forehead, as well as the marked facial features, shows a Roman influence of Imperial period (cf. Schiettecatte 2016: 188).
