| Notes on support and decorations | This limestone statuette of seated figure, probably of woman, is similar to PM 30-47-13 although more detailed. The figure, with pillar-shaped legs (definition based on Rathjens 1955: 64-66 and Antonini 2001: 36) is geometric-shaped. The small head shows thick carved wavy lines, probably representing the hair. The rounded face has large oval-shaped eyes (black outlined), realistic pointed nose and small straight incised line for the mouth. The massive neck shows three parallel lines probably representing the skin folds. The fingers and toes are indicated with incised lines. Small protruding breasts are positioned between the hands. The waist line is indicated by a deep groove and is visible on the lateral sides and on the back. On the back three parallel incised and blackened lines indicate the spine and the back of the arms. Details of the seat and dress are not represented. |
