| Notes on support and decorations | Well modelled and delicate head, probaly of a female. The face has very shallowly modelled close set eyes, a long slender nose, a small coffee bean shaped mouth, a slender neck, simple protrusions for ears, and an attractive tilt to the long oval shaped face. Originally the details of eyes would have been painted; traces of the outline of the eyes and pupil remain. The head was originally set in an inscribed base or displayed inside a niche. |
