| Notes on support and decorations | A fragment of a calcite-alabaster t-shaped offering table with a slightly recessed top, drained via a long narrow channel which outlets between the horns of a bull’s head spout (horns now missing). The bulls’ head has the characteristic multiple folds over its round eyes, crescent shaped nostrils and a curved mouth and jawline. Part of the back surface is intact but either side of the table is broken. The underside is roughly hewn and covered in short tool marks, except for a smoothly finished edge which was designed to slightly overhang the support on which the table was placed. |
