| Notes on support and decorations | Square shaped face with incised eyes without pupils (possibly originally painted), a flat rectangular forehead, no ears, and creases on either side of a rectangular nose, extending down to a small chin, which helps to emphasize full cheeks positioned low on the face. The face is that of a corpulent individual, probably female. The top of the head ends at the hair line. The surface of the plaque is smoothed but not highly polished. There are traces of plaster remaining in the angular tool marks on the reverse which indicates that the back may have been finished in plaster and or fixed to the back of a niche. |
