| Notes on support and decorations | A small, dark brown, pottery jar with flat base, bulbous body and a narrow neck with slightly everted rim. Surface burnished, incised “slash” decoration at juncture between the neck and body, and three strips of “ladder” decoration running vertically down the body. The fabric is fine and unoxidised. The ladder decoration was particularly common at sites on the western coast of Yemen. |
