Notes on support and decorationsComplete architectural element interpreted as a small door. The object is decorated on both the faces. This suggests that front and back should be both visible and makes difficult the interpretation as a small door to close a niche or a burial recess.
Front side: the decorative field is divided in four vertical panels. The lateral are decorated with geometrical bunches of grape. The internal ones present the false-windows motif with inside a vertical element, a bucranium and a human bust.
Back side: the decorative field is divided in three vertical panels, larger than those on the front side. The lateral are decorated with false windows interrupted by the shutter motif. The central one presents the same motives than the two on the front but larger in dimensions: vertical element, bucranium, human bust.
Proposed dating: 2nd/3rd cent AD (PDA 2012).
According to Jamme (1956a: 54,55, n. 432) the object could be related with Aksumite artefacts.
