| Notes on support and decorations | «This is a ladle with a deep hemispheric cup and slightly protruding rim onto which a thin cylindrical handle has been fitted by means of a rectangular plate (1.9x0.7x0.4). It is unclear whether the handle and the receptacle were cast as a single piece or skilfully joined. The receptacle was exhibited together with a bell-shaped support on a slightly tapered base plate, in silver with lead traces on the surface. The pieces might not be from the same place but have been combined in the museum. The ladle may have been part of a drinking set.» (Pavan 200): 120-121). |
